Obelus Projects started with the simple idea of putting together written words with original artworks to tell stories.
The choice of the word “projects” is purposeful. Although “The Little Deaths” is a series of small book objects, not everything Obelus will do in the future has to be a book. In fact, I hope that’s not the case.
Obelus is not about building a publishing business model to make profit. It is about sharing creative work, being able to pay for it to make it as it was meant to be, and ensuring that the next project can be researched, realized, and released.
Your purchase helps us do a few things:
- Cover the printing costs for the current project
- Publish subsequent volumes of “The Little Deaths”
- Make sure we have a website, can pay for postage, envelopes, etc.
Thank you!

p.s. “Obelus” is the word for what many of us know as “the division sign.” I didn’t know it had a name until a couple of years ago, and I love the word as much as I’ve always loved the symbol. To me, the word is about how things “fit into” each other, not how they are kept separate, despite what we often think of when we see the word “division.”
